The Crescenta Valley High School basketball programs will be having a car wash and bake sale from 8 a.m. to noon July 10 at the Chevron filling station at La Crescenta and Honolulu Avenues.

“Come help support the local high school basketball program,” said Sue Forster, CV Lady Falcon Booster Club vice president.

Tickets cost $5 each and the money will subsidize the boys’ and girls’ basketball programs at the high school, part of the Glendale Unified School District. Players from the freshman/sophomore, junior varsity and varsity teams will be washing the cars.

Baked goods, made by players and their family members, will be available for purchase.

The CV girls’ basketball team needs to raise funds to travel to compete in tournaments in San Diego and Santa Barbara, while the boys’ team is planning a possible trip to Hawaii to compete, Forster said.
