Smith-Cameron

Glendale native H. Matthew Cameron and Jessica Smith were married

at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple in

Washington, D.C.

A reception catered by the military followed at the Fort McNair

Officer’s Club. A four-string quartet (violins and cellos) played

throughout the evening. The groom played the bride’s favorite songs

on the piano.

A second reception was held in Burbank. Joe and Andrea Leavitt

sang the couple’s favorite songs.

The maid of honor was Missy Segura. Serving as bridesmaids were

Katie Smith, Alexandra Cannon, Suzie Warme, Teressa Howard and Ashley

Lowry.

The best men were Jerry Hsieh and Dmitrii Malinovskii. Friends and

family served as ushers.

Matthew graduated from Hoover High School and received his

bachelor’s degree in economics from UC Berkeley and master’s degree

in foreign service from Georgetown University. He served as a zone

leader in the McAllen, Texas, Mission. He is employed by the State

Department in Washington, D.C.

He is the son of Deborah Ellen Howard of Palmdale and Denton

Cameron of Provo, Utah.

Jessica, a native of McClean, Va., graduated from Brigham Young

University and received a master’s degree in education from the

University of Maryland. She served a mission to Brazil. She is a

sixth-grade teacher near Mt. Vernon.

She is the daughter of C. William and Jerry Smith of McClean, Va.

The couple honeymooned on a Carnival cruise to Puerta Vallarta.

They are living in Alexandria, Va.
