Hoover 45, Alhambra 43: Senior guard Sevak Khoddagholian recorded

23 points and six steals to lead the host Tornadoes (9-6) in a

nonleague contest Tuesday.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Canyon Country Canyon 65, Glendale 50: Eliz Donikyan had 12 points

for the Nitros (5-9) in Tuesday’s nonleague road loss.

Teammate Lara Kadehjian had 11 points, and Melia Basavand had 10

for Glendale, which played its last nonleague contest.

Abish Valdez also had five points and eight rebounds for Glendale.

The Nitros open Pacific League play with a 5:30 p.m. contest

against host Pasadena on Friday.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Hart 1, Crescenta Valley 0: The Falcons lost their final nonleague

match Tuesday on the road.

Goalkeeper Kyle Roach had five saves for CV (3-3-6).

CV will play visiting Hoover at 3:15 p.m. Friday in the Pacific

League opener for both teams.
