Arthur L. Hudson Jr., known to his friends as “Skip,” recalled his

Glendale High days when he and his friend, Lane Lopez, weeded the

yard at the home of Stan and Jane Phillips.

“Stan was the oral surgeon in town, and my Dad was a dentist who

referred patients to him,” he writes.

Skip Hudson and Lane graduated from Glendale High School in 1958

and attended Glendale Community College and USC together.

Lane is now an oral surgeon in Oxnard, while Hudson is an

orthodontist here in Glendale. Like his father, Hudson also referred

patients to Phillips before Phillips retired.
