Bruce Allen Brown
Bruce Allen Brown died on May 16 in his home, surrounded by his
family.
Mr. Brown was born in Hanna, Alberta, Canada, on April 9, 1922.
Not too long after, his family settled in California, moving to
Glendale to take on the family insurance business.
Mr. Brown is survived by his sisters, Marjorie Jonkey, Fern
Wilson, Laurabelle Brown; his brother, Sayle A. Brown, Jr.; his two
children, Shan Brown Francis and Sayle A. Brown III; his four
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Little Church of
Flowers, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 1712 S. Glendale Ave., Glendale.
Contributions may be made to the Foothill Christian Church in La
Crescenta, 4459 Lowell Ave., La Crescenta, for a scholarship fund at
Chapman University.
Robert Herrold
Robert Herrold died on May 9, 2005, in Fresno.
Mr. Herrold was known for his passion for public service. During
the Korean War, he served in the U.S. military. He then returned to
Glendale after the war and began officiating public municipal
basketball games.
Mr. Herrold was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie
Herrold. He is survived by wife Elaine; son Gregg Herrold; daughter
Michelle Kesler and her husband Steve; son Mark Herrold; son Peter
Herrold; sister Joy Ann Lawrence and her husband William; 11
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services have passed.
