GLEN-PARK RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES
Four of the Glen-Park retirement communities are looking for
volunteers. Volunteers can spend their time doing activities, writing
a letter, or just sitting and talking to a resident. For more

The Alex is currently seeking volunteers to greet patrons, take

AMERICAN RED CROSS GLENDALE-CRESCENTA VALLEY CHAPTER
Volunteers needed for a wide variety of activities, such as
working on a disaster action team or serving juice and cookies at
blood drives. Start by attending a New Volunteer Orientation class.

GLENDALE ADVENTIST MEDICAL CENTER
Glendale Adventist Medical Center seeks volunteers for Senior Way
Finders to help seniors get daily walking exercise. Volunteers will
receive free training, uniforms, parking and meals. For more

DOCTORS’ HOUSE MUSEUM
The Glendale Historical Society is seeking volunteer docents at
the Doctors’ House Museum, at 1601 W. Mountain Ave., Glendale.
Volunteer docents sign up to give tours through the Victorian house

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
Boys and Girls Club needs volunteers to help with homework,
reading, arts and crafts and athletics. For more information, call

‘EARLY BIRD’
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Glendale Adventist Medical Center needs volunteers to work at the
Information Desk, Emergency and Surgery waiting rooms and as escorts
and messengers from 6 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday. Other shifts
in four-hour increments are available between 8 a.m. to
8 p.m. Free meals, parking, faxing, photocopying and notary
services are available to volunteers. Training, orientation, health
screening and uniforms are also provided free of charge. To apply,

DRIVERS NEEDED
The Salvation Army of Glendale, serving Glendale, La Crescenta,
Montrose and La Canada Flintridge, needs drivers for its “Meals on
Wheels” program. Drivers can do one hour a week or a month.
Individuals who aren’t able to drive can volunteer in the kitchen.
