The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce presents the annual
membership and scholarship awards mixer from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jenkins
Properties, 2626 Honolulu Ave., Montrose. Chamber members who have
continuous membership for five, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years will be
honored along with 2005 scholarship recipients. Members are $5 and
nonmembers are $7.
The La Crescenta Presbyterian Church will be offering a class on
“History of the Reformation” at 6:30 p.m. on the first three

The La Crescenta Public Library’s summer reading program, “Super
Heroes, Super Readers,” continues with Alligator Al’s Traveling

performance that will tie in the importance of reading for children.

The Glendale Community College Community Services Education
program will offer eight-week dance classes beginning today that will
run through Aug. 29. The classes are from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the
Regency Hall at the YWCA, 735 E. Lexington Drive, Glendale. There
will be tango, ballroom dancing, salsa and swing dancing classes
offered in one hour intervals beginning at 5:30 p.m. Course fees are
