Ben Henry Named Eagle Scout

Ben Henry of Boy Scout Troop 319 received the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in Boy Scouts, on Saturday, July 2. His Eagle Project consisted of painting a map of the world and two alphabet caterpillars on the playground at La Crescenta Elementary School.
While a Boy Scout, Ben became a certified BSA lifeguard, was awarded the World Conservation Award, held the following positions in his troop; Assistant Patrol Leader, scribe, Bugler, Troop Guide, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader. Ben also attended the 2001 National Scout Jamboree in Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, hiked to the top of Mount Whitney in 2003, and attended Philmont in 2004.
Ben plans to attend U.C. Santa Cruz or Cal State Monterey and plans to major in secondary education.
