St. James Students Earn Professional Puppet Show

The students at St. James the Less Catholic School sold more than $45,000 in magazine sales to help their school fund-raising, which earned them a prize.
The Terry Factor Show came to the school to perform. He is a professional ventriloquist with many funny puppets he brought along to entertain the students. “Walter,” the country singer sang them songs. “Andy”, a little 8-year-old told the kids funny jokes and poems. “Maynard” is an Elvis impersonator who couldn’t remember the words to any Elvis songs.
Terry Factor and his puppets also picked on the third grade teacher, Lisa Twomey and the fourth grade teacher, Sara Hopper, by having the puppets sing songs to the women and profess their love for the teachers. The students laughed hysterically.
The seventh grade class attended the show, but the students didn’t want to miss their art lesson so the art teacher incorporated their lesson into the show. Each student had to sketch the puppets during the show.
Terry loved the idea and, after the show, autographed their drawings and even took some pictures of some of them to put on his website. The highlight of the show was Terry bringing up Bob France, the computer room aide, and having him impersonate Cher.
