The following crime reports for La Crescenta, Montrose, Glendale and La Cañada Flintridge were taken from the log at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Sunday, Nov. 20

Person(s) unknown damaged the door frame of a house in the 1000 block of Descanso Drive in La Cañada and stole a Compaq flat screen computer monitor worth about $400 and a Hewlett Packard computer printer worth about $200 from the house.

Saturday, Nov. 19

Person(s) unknown forged personal checks for more than $2,700 using the personal information of a resident of the 4000 block of Hampstead Road in La Cañada without authorization.

Person(s) unknown stole a briefcase containing about $5,000 in payroll checks and about $50 in cash from a locked 2003 Chevrolet Suburban that was parked in the 2300 block of Chapman Road in La Cañada.

Friday, Nov. 18

Mark Derby, 21, of North Hollywood, was arrested after a traffic stop near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue in La Crescenta and Nancy Miller, 31, of Los Angeles, was arrested on suspicion of possession of mail, credit card account and billing information not belonging to her after the stop.

Thursday, Nov. 17

A student at Crescenta Valley High School, located at 4400 Ramsdell Ave. in La Crescenta, admitted to trading an iPod he stole from another student for marijuana.

Person(s) unknown pushed or kicked in the front door of a house in the 4700 block of La Cañada Boulevard in La Cañada between 8:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., causing the door frame to crack and $500 in damage. Nothing was reported stolen.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

A student at Crescenta Valley High School reported his wallet containing $25, a $50 Macy’s gift card and a school identification card was stolen from his backpack.

Sunday, Nov. 13

Person(s) unknown stole the wallet of a resident of the 3000 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta that contained about $100 in cash.
