Raul Perez

Raul Perez, of La Cañada Flintridge died on Sunday morning, March 26, 2006, in a car accident in Albuquerque, N. M.

He was born in Glendale on June 30, 1983 and grew up in La Cañada, attending La Cañada schools.

He loved all sports, but baseball was always first. He played Crescenta Valley Little League and Babe Ruth and then went on to play for La Cañada High School. At the junior college level, he played at Glendale Community College and Valley College. At the time of his death he was a catcher for New Mexico Highland University in Las Vegas, N. M.

Raul also enjoyed water sports. His favorite times were spent on yearly family trips, always to water destinations for surfing, skiing, fishing and boating, He is survived by his parents, Raul and Lissette Perez, and his brother and sister, Alex and Kristell, both sets of grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Raul loved life and was very close to his family. He will always be remembered by family and friends for the twinkle in his eyes and that big, silent grin.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow (Friday) at La Crescenta First Baptist Church, 4441 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta. Interment will be at Forest Lawn in Glendale.
