Her art is inspired by nature

Whether she is gardening or spending time outdoors, nature inspires artist Maryjane Klune, of La Cañada Flintridge, to paint scenes from the natural world.
Klune, 71, paints landscapes, seascapes, florals and even some portraits.
Her travels to Laguna Beach, Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks, Washington state or to Canada provide her with the subject matter for her paintings.
Klune works mostly in watercolors and sometimes in oils and acrylics. She also plans to work on abstract paintings of her natural surroundings.
A retired nurse, Klune is a member of the Verdugo Hills Art Assn. and has exhibited her work at the La Cañada Flintridge Library, Pasadena Public Library and at numerous retirement homes.
Her latest exhibit is at Just Coffee in Glendale.
Glendale News-Press News Assistant Ani Amirkhanian sat down with Klune and asked her a few questions.
