Life in the Fast Lane at PMCA

The Pasadena Museum of California Art (PMCA) presents Drive-by Shooting: April Greiman Digital Photography, the first museum exhibition in California of this Los Angeles-based computer artist and graphic designer. The exhibition features 25 digital images installed in the 5,000 sq. ft. main gallery of the PMCA, which were taken over the past 15 years in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. Shot while the artist was in motion, this series of images captures human figures, architecture, light and the natural landscape in a deconstructed and abstract, painterly form. Influenced by the volatile excitement of Los Angeles, Greiman’s installation creates a dynamic, spontaneous, motion-filled world. The large-scale prints (approx. 42 x 100 in) will be suspended from the ceiling, spinning through the space and coming off the wall.

PMCA is located at 490 E. Union St., Pasadena. Hours are 12 to 5 p.m. Wed. through Sun. Call 626-568-3665. Admission is $6, ($4 for seniors/students). Parking is free in the museum garage.
