ON THE TOWN:Bella’s Studio unveils 38th ‘Face of Beauty’

Bella’s Studio of Glendale welcomed a huge crowd Sunday to its 38th annual “The Face of Beauty” gala at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City hotel in Universal City.
The event was a hair and fashion show that organizers Bella Ghazarian and her daughter, Arlet Ghazarian, touted as a day of “Fashion, Fun and Entertainment.”
The more than 500 attending were able to participate in a lottery and prize drawing.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
The day began with guests mingling while shopping at the many vendors offering exquisite jewelry and other accessories and gift and event services.
Among the services were Anoush & Lisa’s Flowers and Gifts of Glendale, which offers fresh flowers, decorations, gift wrapping and favors. Co-owner Anoush Agazhyan of Glendale was showing the display to guests.
At another display, Odette Yessaian was displaying designer gift baskets and favors for any occasion through her service, Wrap It Up, in Glendale.
Upon entering the banquet room, guests were served their lunch while watching videos of innovative hair designs projected on huge screens flanking the runway.
Following lunch, models showed off clothing and hair designs.
Catherine Asaturian, of Glendale, was there to see her daughter Fabienne Asaturian, 24, model in the show. Joining her at the table were her other daughter, Rebecca Asaturian, 19, a student of Glendale Community College, and her friend Talin Saginian, 19, who studies graphic arts and marketing at Glendale Community College.
Helping on the committee were mother and daughter Anna and Tina Baghdassarian, of Glendale.
The luncheon was a reunion for several friends who graduated in 1974 from a high school in Iran.
They were Anoush Der Sarkissian, Carmen Davidian and Maret Golnazarian, all of Glendale.
Family and friends sitting at another table were: Beatrice Savadian; Hilda Ter Minassain; Janet Aghanian; Gilda Ter Minassian; Scarlet Aiwazian; Parik Shahverdian; Mariam Magardichian; Mari Magardichian; and Kathrine Khodaverdian, all of Glendale; Violet Markarian, of Burbank; Tina Esrailian, of Studio City; and Hilda Esrailian, of Encino.
