Share

Verdugo Valley Baptist Church ladies will celebrate their second “Ladies’ Outing” on Feb. 12.

They will meet in Glendale to carpool to Liberty Baptist Church in Newport Beach, which is hosting meetings with John Bishop and his wife Donna.

Bro Bishop was a pastor when he came down with meningitis in 1995. He lost all of his memory and had to learn to walk and talk again.

Ladies interested in joining this caravan may call Pastor Jesse Johnson’s wife, Candace, at 331-6479.

During Sunday evening service at 5 on Feb. 11, Johnson will explain the Baptists’ second of two ordinances: The Lord’s Supper. The first ordinance of baptism was presented by Johnson on Feb 4.

Verdugo Valley Baptist Church will host its first Missions Conference Feb. 21 to 25. Its theme is “And of Some Have Compassion, Making a Difference” (Jude 1:22). Special entertainment will be provided by the singing evangelical Darden family.

The Missions Conference will be held at 7 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, at 1300 E. Colorado St. in Glendale, the evenings of February 21, 22 and 23, and conclude Feb. 25.

Verdugo Valley Baptist Church is an independent fundamental Baptist church. Call Johnson at 331-6479 for more information.
