The new Los Angeles production of “Wicked” starts performances this Saturday night, Feb. 10 at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. The official opening night is Wednesday, Feb. 21. The producers are announcing that a day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of $25 front orchestra seats will be held daily.
Each day, two and a half hours prior to show time, people who present themselves at the Pantages box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum, and then, thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of front orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Identification is required to purchase the tickets. Please note that a lottery will not be held on opening night, Feb. 21.
A second block of tickets, which extends the show through early spring, 2008, will go on sale to the general public on March 4. A pre-sale of those tickets to American Express card-holders is in process. Details on both the lottery and the second block of tickets, as well as general information, are available online by visiting www.wickedthemusical.com/la.
