Glendale Youth Orchestra, conducted by Brad Keimach, will present the second concert of its eighteenth season at 7:30 p.m. at the Alex Theatre, 216 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale. Pianist Angela Cholakyan will perform the first movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 17 in G major, and pianist Daphne Kan will perform the second and third movements of the same piece. Glendale Community Concerts will present Anna and Kiril Gliadkovosky in a piano solo and duo performance at 2:30 p.m. at Glendale High School Auditorium, 1440 E. Broadway, Glendale. They studied at the most prestigious musical institutions in Russia — the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Gnessins Russian Music Academy in Moscow. Anna Gliadkovosky also studied at the Special Music School for gifted children in Kiev. Before marrying, each artist pursued a busy career as a soloist and performed in major concert halls in Russia.
