Armenian American chamber sponsors talk

Business owners listened to a presentation by Judy Chu, vice chairwoman of the California State Board of Equalization, at an Armenian American Chamber of Commerce event at Fiscal Credit Union on Tuesday.

In a talk entitled “Small Business, the Backbone of California’s Future,” Chu outlined services available to businesses including multilingual resources, seminars and assistance, said Armond Aghakhanian, spokesman for the Armenian American Chamber of Commerce.

Chu represents 8.5 million residents of the Fourth Equalization District, which encompasses most of Los Angeles County and includes 73 cities. As the Fourth District representative, Chu represents the largest Armenian-American constituency outside of Armenia, according to Aghakhanian.
