Glass art is topic of society meeting

The Glendale Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brand Library Recital Hall, 1601 W. Mountain St., Glendale.

Speaker Laura Friedman, Glendale resident and owner of PlanetGlass, will present a talk on “Mid-20th Century Modernist Art Glass.” No formal appraisals will be given.

History, culture of Armenia on tap

Librarian and scholar Sylva Manoogian and retired professor Kay Mouradian will discuss the history, culture and life of Armenia, in “All About Armenia,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Glendale Central Library, 222 E. Harvard St., Glendale.

Mouradian will be signing her book, “A Gift in the Sunlight: An Armenian Story.”

After-hours mixer at radio station

The Glendale Chamber of Commerce will have its members after-hours business mixer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at KRLA-AM (870), 701 N. Brand Blvd., #550.

There will be networking opportunities and opportunity drawings, food and a cash jackpot for members.
