Credit Union announces merger

The Glendale Area Schools Federal Credit Union announced this week that they have received authorization from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) to proceed with the merger and acquisition of Glendale Postal Employees Federal Credit Union. The merger is effective Dec. 1.

The action was unanimously recommended by the board of directors; in a secret ballot vote the member/shareholders of Glendale Postal Federal Credit Union approved the merger.

Glendale Area Schools Federal Credit Union CEO Stuart Perlitsh expressed his appreciation to the shareholders for recognizing the safety, soundness and value in their selection.
