Arlene Hepburn

Arlene Hepburn was born Dec. 14, 1923 and passed away on Nov. 26.

Arlene and her husband, Harry, had a love affair that started when they first met at age 12; they never dated anyone else. While Harry was serving in the Air Force in England, his mother sent him a letter that she had proposed to Arlene on his behalf and she accepted. They were married for 62 years. They have two sons, Michael and Patrick. Her family and friends will miss her.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, at 11:00 am. at Crippen Mortuary located at 2900 Honolulu Avenue in La Crescenta.

Palma “Pam”

Angela Carone

Palma “Pam” Angela Carone, born Oct. 23, 1921, passed away Nov. 16, 2007.

Pam was born, raised and lived her whole life in the Los Angeles area.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Michael Carone; her son Nicholas and daughter Pamela Carone; two grandchildren, Michael Carone and Ryann Gentry; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Nina Mohi and brother, John Currado.

Mike and Pam met at John Marshall High School in 1937 and were married on Aug. 1, 1942. They built their home in the Crescenta Valley in 1955 where they have resided for the last 52 years with their many area friends.

She was everyone’s “Nana Pam” and was loved by all who came in contact with her as an uplifting spirit who cared for all.

Services were held in The Church of the Recessional at Forest Lawn-Glendale on Nov. 26. Interment followed the services in The Garden of Remembrance.
