Tickets on sale for Mayor’s Breakfast

Tickets are still available for the Glendale Mayor’s 45th annual Prayer Breakfast scheduled for 6:30 a.m., March 13 at the Glendale Hilton Hotel, 100 W. Glenoaks Blvd., in Glendale. The breakfast traditionally sells out prior to the event.

The keynote speaker will be Ann Meyers Drysdale, an Olympic silver medalist and professional athlete. Drysdale, who medaled as a member of the 1979 United States women’s basketball team, is in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, the Women’s Sports Hall of Fame, and the National High School Hall of Fame. She was married to Los Angeles Dodgers Hall of Fame pitcher Don Drysdale, and the couple is known as the first married couple to be members of their respective sports’ Hall of Fame.

Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian will preside over the breakfast and Capt. Jim Sloan, of The Salvation Army, will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for seniors. For more information, call (818) 248-7109.
