Tree ordinance meeting Thursday

City officials will host residents for input on Glendale’s controversial Indigenous Tree Ordinance from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Chevy Chase Branch Library, 3301 E. Chevy Chase Dr.

If residents believe the city should continue having a tree protection ordinance, they will be encouraged to offer feedback on how to change the ordinance to better fit their needs. For more information, call the Public Works Department at (818) 548-3222.

‘Fiddler on the Roof’ goes to GCC

Glendale Community College’s production of “Fiddler on the Roof” opens Thursday in the college’s Mainstage Theatre in the auditorium building.

The performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week, and at 2 p.m. Sunday. The show also runs at 8 p.m. March 13, 14 and 15, and at 2 p.m. March 16. Tickets may be purchased at the door. General admission is $15. Tickets for students and seniors are $12, and tickets for children under 12 or groups of 10 or more are $8 a piece.

On opening night, high school students with valid identification will not be charged admission. The college is at 1500 N. Verdugo Road in Glendale. For more information, or to buy tickets, contact Nancy Greene in the college’s theater arts department at (818) 240-1000, Ext. 5618.

Library to host game day for kids

The city of Glendale will hold a game day Tuesday for children in the eighth grade and younger. An assortment of games will be available for children to play with their families. The games will be held between noon and 3 p.m. in the children’s room of the Glendale Public Library, 222 E. Harvard St. Call (818) 548-2030.
