Mount Vista Girl Scouts have busy weekend

Share

The Mount Wilson Vista Girl Scout Council had a very busy weekend with the opening of Cookie Booth sales and the annual Tasting Bee.

Beginning on Friday, it seemed every store and bank had a Girl Scout troop smiling and waving cookie boxes at prospective buyers. Cookie sales began Feb. 28 and will end March 22. The cookies sell for $4 a box and support the council, with a portion of sales going to the individual troop.

The girls took a break from selling cookies on Sunday to peddle tasty international treats. The International Tasting Bee was held at the Holy Redeemer School cafeteria. Visitors traveled from booth to booth, enjoying tastes of fare from countries around the world. From Egypt to France to pioneer America, the girls dressed in costumes, decorated their booths and made delicious foods to showcase their chosen country.
