Crescenta Valley 8, Paraclete 5: Reigning All-Area Player of the Year Ashleigh Viers-Gordillo had three hits, including a triple, and three runs batted in and two runs to lead the Falcons in a semifinal game Saturday at the High Desert Classic.

The Falcons (7-0) will play Santa Monica at 5:30 p.m. today in the final.

Kali Cancelosi (4-0) got the win, while Heather Bacon struck out six in two innings to tally the save. Lainey De Pompa had two hits and three RBI, Stephanie Ziemann had two hits and two runs and Alyssa Sovreign had two hits, two RBI and a run.

In a 5-2 win against Chatsworth, Bacon (3-0) got the win. De Pompa and Cancelosi each had two hits, Ziemann had two runs and Sovreign had a run and an RBI.

SWIMMING

Pacific League Relays: Crescenta Valley High swept the Pacific League relays on Friday afternoon.

In the girls’ competition, the Falcons edged Arcadia, 94-89.

Glendale finished fourth with 42 points, while Hoover was seventh with 17.

In the boys’ competition, the Falcons tallied 107 points to second-place Arcadia’s 71.

Glendale was third with 56, while Hoover was fifth with 34.
