The Glendale News-Press visited Roosevelt Middle School and asked students: “How does the computer program My Access help you improve your writing?”

“It helps me with my corrections. I forget how to spell words, but My Access always has spell check. I have a feeling I have improved a lot. I’m more eager to write, and I have more knowledge.”

RICARDO HERNANDEZ, 13

Glendale

“It helps me with my spelling and gives me more knowledge in life. It may also help me in college.”

MICHAEL ESCARENO, 14

Glendale

“Before I write, I can plot out my notes using charts. I can use spell check, thesaurus and the dictionary. I can find out what I need to work on.”

SAKO BABAYAN, 13

Glendale

“When you write an essay, you can send it, and it shows you how you can improve. If you have spelling mistakes, it tells you. What I find really useful is that it shows what we can take out of paragraphs and put back in.”

MELISSA PORTILLO, 13

Glendale

“It helps me write better. I’m going to a higher English class. My Access gets me to write more.”

JACKIE PEREZ, 13
