Crescenta Valley 12-4, West Ranch 2-1: The Falcons improved to 15-0 on the season with a road nonleague doubleheader sweep of the Wildcats on Saturday.

In the first game, a five-inning affair due to the 10-run mercy rule, Heather Bacon went the distance. She allowed five hits and picked up her sixth win of the year.

She was supported by a pair of two-run home runs by shortstop Baillie Kirker, who went two for three with four runs batted in and three runs scored.

The homers were the seventh and eighth of the year for Kirker, a junior.

Stephanie Ziemann went two for two with a double and three RBIs, while Lainey DePompa went one for two with two RBIs.

Erin Ashby (one for two) also had an RBI and a run scored.

Kali Cancelosi (9-0) pitched the second game for Crescenta Valley.

Reigning All-Area Player of the Year Ashleigh Viers-Gordillo paced the Falcons with a two-RBI double.

Alyssa Sovereign went two for four with one RBI and Zara Montes went one for two with a double, an RBI and a run scored.
