ON THE AGENDA

The following items will be discussed at tonight’s Crescenta Valley Town Council Meeting:

The Town Council is expected to update the community on the proposed community standards district — a set of design guidelines for Foothill Boulevard.

The guidelines were slated to go before the Los Angeles County Planning Commission in May, but that meeting has since been postponed.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The council will likely detail the county’s efforts to implement the standards.

?

The council is slated to discuss a series of letters and unveil a petition regarding a telecommunication company’s plans to construct cell phone towers in La Crescenta.

A previously approved letter aimed at Los Angeles County planning officials, will be read and a letter to officials regarding Sprint-Nextel’s application for a conditional-use permit for 12 towers along Foothill Boulevard will be unveiled. A proclamation and petition against the cell towers will also be presented.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The council will likely approve the letter and circulate the petition.
