Ramsdell Avenue in La Crescenta, a tow hitch, bicycle rack and helmet, a container with college books and a duffel bag were stolen from the sidewalk in front of a home. The resident said he had taken the items out of his vehicle, placed them on the sidewalk outside his home and went to open his garage door. When he returned, all the items were gone; 4600 block at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Palm Drive in La Cañada, a resident reported that her garage window showed signs of forced entry; 4800 block sometime between Friday and Sunday.

Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, Lillian Vargas, 34, from Pasadena was arrested after she left T.J. Maxx with merchandise she did not attempt to purchase; 600 block at 1:40 p.m. on Saturday.

Mary Street in La Crescenta, a 1999 four-door Honda Civic was stolen in the 2600 block reported at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday.

Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, while in the security trailer in the La Cañada Town Center, an employee reported that the power suddenly went off. He went outside to discover someone had cut the power cable that contained some copper. He saw a gray pick-up truck parked north of the Shell Station at the north side of the construction site. The driver fled onto the Foothill (210) Freeway from the 900 block at 4:50 a.m. on July 24.

Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, Pablo Molina, 38, from Los Angeles was arrested on suspicion of receiving and possessing stolen property after he was found driving out of the Descanso Medical building parking lot. Law enforcement was on a special project for crime suppression regarding recent thefts of catalytic converters. They stopped Molina and found in his possession two demolition hammers and a credit card that was not in his name. He was also driving without a valid California driver’s license; 1100 block at 4:44 p.m. on July 23.

Orange Avenue in La Crescenta, the windshield of a vehicle was broken in the 3000 block overnight, July 25-26.

Florencita Avenue in Montrose, a man reported after receiving notification that he had won over $300,000 in a clearing house-type lottery, he followed the instructions to deposit over $3,000 into a Money Gram account. He later found that account had been emptied. He then received another notice that he had won more lottery money and was instructed to deposit more into the account. He did not follow those instructions; 2400 block reported at 1:35 p.m. on July 25.

Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada, a vehicle’s gas tank was punctured with a crow bar. The owner reported that she noticed liquid leaking from the rear of her vehicle and discovered a crowbar sticking out of the gas tank; 4800 block overnight, July 17-18.

Prospect Avenue in La Crescenta, audio speakers and personal property were stolen from the trunk of a vehicle; 3300 block at 12:41 p.m. on Monday.

Honolulu Avenue in La Crescenta, a 28-year-old Los Angeles woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and narcotic paraphernalia and in possession of counterfeit currency. At the same time, a 34-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested for being in possession of a reported stolen vehicle after officers found the couple parked at C.V. Park; 2900 block at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday.

Foothill Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue in La Crescenta, a 34-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a narcotic at 6:47 p.m. on Sunday.

Palm Drive in La Cañada, a man awoke to the sound of his car alarm. He looked out the window and saw a white pick-up truck driving away. The right passenger side window of the resident’s vehicle was discovered to have been smashed; 5200 block at 11:45 p.m. Sunday.

Briggs Avenue in La Crescenta, the rear driver’s side window of a vehicle was shattered; 4300 block overnight, July 19-20.

Highridge Road in La Crescenta, the side rear driver’s side door was damaged and the window of the vehicle was broken; 3000 block overnight, July 18-19.

Pinelawn Avenue in La Crescenta, a car stereo and television was stolen and the side door lock of a vehicle was damaged; 2700 block overnight, July 18-19.

Hillard Avenue in La Cañada, the passenger side door of a vehicle was damaged with a scratch longer than two inches; 4500 block between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on July 17.

Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a catalytic converter was stolen from a truck in the 1300 block between 2 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. July 15.
