Glendale Community College in South Coast Classic: The Vaqueros opened their season Aug. 27 with an eighth-place finish at Olivas Park in Ventura. Glendale college finished with a 409.

Freshman Brittany Gonzalez had a 14-over-par 86 to lead the Vaqueros. She posted an eagle on the second hole. Freshman Alexa Petroski finished with a 96 for the Vaqueros.
