CV Town Council election results in

The results are in for last Saturday’s Crescenta Valley Town Council election.

Eight candidates vyed for the six open seats, three voting members and three alternate positions which do not have a voting voice on council issues.

Steve Goldsworthy took the first seat neatly with 248 votes. Danette Erickson and Robert Thomas took the second and third seats respectively with Erickson capturing 198 votes to Thomas’ 168. The first alternate seat belongs to Charles Beatty with 127 votes followed by Liz Arnold with 123 votes and the third alternate seat goes to newcomer Robbyn Battles with 114 votes. Incumbent Dennis Van Bremen trailed by only 2 votes, bringing in 112. Candidate Christina Cauble claimed 36 votes.

New Council members will be taking their oath on Dec.18.

Of the 451 ballots cast, 364 residents turned out at the polling place at Crescenta Valley High School and 87 were absentee voters.
