The board of education will discuss the possible cuts, as well as a report by the state’s legislative analyst’s office in its first meeting since Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced his proposal Nov. 6.

The board will not vote during this discussion.

The California Department of Education released a report on the amount of students using the district’s special education services.

The report details what disparities exist between the proportions of students enrolled in the district from different ethnic backgrounds and the proportion of students from each of those backgrounds using special education services.
