Fundraiser soccer match to be held

The Glendale Police Department will face the Glendale Fire Department in a benefit soccer match at 11 a.m. Sunday at Glendale High’s Moyse Field, 1440 E. Broadway, Glendale.

The cost is $10 per person, which includes a barbecue lunch by Damon’s Steak House.

Proceeds will go toward purchasing uniforms for the Glendale High girls’ soccer program.

Annual CV Baseball Camp to be held

The 12th annual Crescenta Valley Baseball Camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 29-30 at Stengel Field.

The event will be spearheaded by Crescenta Valley High baseball Coach Phil Torres and his coaching staff. The event is geared for those in grades three through eight. The cost is $75 per person.

Boys and girls water polo players sought

A Santa Clarita Valley-based age group water polo club is seeking boys and girls, ages 11-13.

The club is run by Crescenta Valley High School girls’ Athletic Director Pete Loporchio.

To get in youth sports results, whether it’s soccer, football, baseball, basketball, etc., please drop off or e-mail results by 2 p.m. Mondays.
