BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Crescenta Valley 65, San Gabriel 50: The Falcons improved to 3-2 with Tuesday’s pool-play victory at the San Gabriel Tournament.

Nick Dragovich led the way with 21 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and three steals.

Coltrane Powdrill added 15 points, seven rebounds and three blocks, while Falcons teammate Narbeh Ebrahimian had 10 points, seven assists and five rebounds.

The Falcons play Northview on Thursday at 6:15 p.m. in their next tournament game.

Renaissance Academy 63, Temple City 56: Gill Tacitis collected a team-high 19 points Monday night to spur the visiting Wildcats (3-5) in a nonleague contest. Dushon Carter had 15 points and six assists for Renaissance, which got 10 points from Derrick Simms.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

El Camino Real 56, Glendale 40: Lidia Rivas had a team-high 18 points and five rebounds Monday for the Nitros (3-2) in an opening-round game of the Burroughs Tournament.

Marlow Tomasian added 10 points for Glendale, which will meet Pacific League-rival Pasadena in a consolation-bracket game at 7:30 p.m. today.
