The Crescenta Valley Chamber will be dispensing happiness to great organizations this Tuesday, Jan. 13 at our 84th annual installation luncheon of officers and directors. At this event we will be distributing the Mary Pinola/CV Chamber Educational Endowment Funds to 13 very worthy programs. Close to $12,000 will be distributed this Tuesday to educational programs and projects in the Crescenta Valley. Since its inception in the 1990s, the Mary Pinola/CV Chamber Educational Endowment Fund has awarded over $52,000 in grants to these worthy projects. These funds go directly into the Crescenta Valley schools, non-profit groups and medical facilities to help enrich education of children in this area. These grants help fund counselors to serve at-risk children, after-school arts programs, scholarships for educational programs, and equipment needed at local schools. To learn more about this great program, join us Tuesday, Jan. 13, at our luncheon at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club at 11 am. It will also include an incredible silent auction, with proceeds donated to the Mary Pinola/CV Chamber Educational Endowment Funds for future grants. Also mark your calendars to join us in welcoming and giving good cheer and happiness to 3-2-1 Talent Showcase at their ribbon cutting and grand opening on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 3:30 p.m. at 3131 Foothill Blvd. Ste. H in Palms Plaza. 3-2-1 Talent showcase provides on-camera commercial, film and TV acting classes. They can be reached at (818) 353-5455 or come by their studio on Jan. 21.

Our next chamber mixer is going to be one filled with lots of great cheer and happiness as we celebrate Crescenta Valley Insurance’s 40th anniversary. This 40th anniversary dual mixer will be held on Feb. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. Crescenta Valley Insurance Agency is a full service insurance agency currently serving the insurance needs of about 5,700 individuals and families, as well as 620 businesses concerns in California. Hopefully all 6,000 of these people will join us as we celebrate C.V.I.’s 40 years of serving our community.

Let’s make this a great new year for the Crescenta Valley and celebrate with the great businesses in our area. And as a community, let’s really try to make at least one person happy every day. Smile!
