Montrose–Verdugo City Chamber:

What a Super Bowl! With a score of 27/23, it was very intense and well played by both teams. As I have mentioned before, my house is “Steelerized” so we were obviously very happy with the outcome. This now means my family will want new gear. I spoke to a friend of mine who was there at the game and has attended over two dozen Super Bowls; he indicated this was the best game he’d ever been to.

If you know Rick Dinger or have only heard about him, you must come to Crescenta Valley Insurance on Wednesday, Feb. 11 to celebrate 40 years in the business. This will be a dual mixer for both the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce and our Chamber. The festivities begin at 6, lasting until 8 p.m. CV Insurance is located at 3923 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta. Did I mention it is free admission…?

If you’re a Chamber member and you have something you would like the community to know about your business, please contact the Chamber and I will put it in this column.

Thank you Chamber members who renewed their membership dues; we really appreciate your support:

Automobile Club of Southern California, Gene’s Paint & Body, Citizens Business Bank, Community Directory, Andy’s Storage, Quilt N Things, Village Travel, Valley Sun, Glendale Rose Float Assn., Anawalt Lumber & Hardware and Verdugo Vista Healthcare.

Is there a better way to advertise than in the Chamber’s directory? Of course not! This booklet is used by everyone, so make sure you are in it. Call the Chamber to find out how you can be part of this edition.

A couple of things to put on your calendar:

Glendale Healthy Kids will be checking in on the progress of board president Brian Bergh and Ardy Kassakhian on losing 12% of themselves for their “Losing it For The Kids Rally” on Feb. 23. Contact Camille Levee at (818) 548-7931 for all the info.

Rotary Club of Crescenta Valley is hosting a High Tea Fundraiser on March 1 at The T Room located at 2405 Honolulu Ave. in Montrose. Contact Katie Friedman at (818) 248-5348 for all the details.

Verdugo Hills Council, Boy Scouts of America will host its 34th annual Big Strike Auction on April 4 at the Glendale Civic Auditorium. Contact the council office at (818) 243-6282 to find out how you can help.

We are still looking for a few good e-mail addresses to keep you connected to the Chamber. The Chamber is doing our part and being “green” is the new color of choice. Please give us your e-mail contact information.

The Chamber is located at 3516 N. Verdugo Road in Glendale and can be reached by telephone (818) 249-7171 or by e-mail mvcc@montrosechamber.org.

The Chamber is open on Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and is closed on Fridays.
