Rebels making their move

Quietly taking the Prep league, Flintridge Prep boys’ and girls’ basketball have been rolling the last few weeks through opponents in Prep league.

Tuesday night, the boys’ team, behind sensational sophomore Kenyatta Smith, took Webb, 54-43, to improve to 15-6 on the season and 6-0 in Prep league play. They’re now ranked 7th in CIF Division V-AA.

Likewise, Prep girls’ team (12-10, 6-3 in Prep league play) beat Webb earlier on Tuesday, 50-35.

The girls now have a firm grasp on third place in Prep league, ahead of Westridge, but will have to play No. 1 team Chadwick (17-2, 7-0) on Feb. 10.
