Valentine’s week It’s such a beautiful day filled with love, roses and a great dinner for some. I believe we should treat our loved ones special every day, maybe not the roses or dinner but the love and kindness. Remember how you feel when someone shows how much they care. Let’s pass this around; it will become contagious. Show a smile to someone who may be having a bad day — it will change them.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 10, for our annual installation dinner to be held at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club. Once again we will be honoring those in the community who go above and beyond. We would like to recognize their efforts and what better place for this to be done? Also, we will install our new board of directors, some familiar faces and some new ones. Everyone is invited, so contact the office if you would like to attend.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, chamber member Stix and Stonz is having a “Love Shac” on Saturday, Feb. 14. Stop by 3528 Ocean View Blvd. for a “Love Opening” from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. They have also become a Sacred Healing Arts Center and you will receive a free “Love” gift.

We are still looking for a few good e-mail addresses to keep you connected to the Chamber. The Chamber is doing our part and being “green” is the new color of choice. Please give us your e-mail contact information.
