Trinity Christian cleans up Sunland

On Friday, Feb. 20 from 1 to 2 p.m., Trinity Christian School students, teachers and parents will be picking up litter around Sunland during the school’s TCS Walk-a-thon.

They will be cleaning up Foothill Boulevard between Sherman Grove and Woodward Avenue and on side streets in different neighborhoods as well as on school property.

For the past several years, the school has been having a TCS walk-a-thon fund-raising event in which students received financial pledges to sponsor them for a one hour walk on the campus.

However, this year the school decided to do more than just raise money; it wanted to help clean the community by picking up litter.

By doing this, students will be taught the importance of service and keeping the environment clean. The school is reaching out to make a positive impact on the community as well as raise money for its educational needs.
