Falcons U12 team start Valley conference play 3-0

The Falcon 12-and-under boys’ basketball team started league play with a 51-50 victory over the Valley Jaguars. Down by 14 points in the second half the Falcons came soaring back and outscored the Jags 19-5 in the fourth quarter. Led by Eric Patten with 13 points, Jake Beck with 12, Nick Cabrera with six, and Brian Wang with six points and six steals.

Up next were the Glendale Panthers. The Falcons outscored the Panthers from the start. Christopher Bouchard with 13 points including three three-pointers, Ronald Shishido hit three from behind the arc for nine points, Ben Ortiz had eight and Jake Espinoza had seven. Michael Payne with an outstanding 14 rebounds. The Falcons held the Panthers to 12 points in the second half.

The third game was against the La Cañada Spartans and it was a tight one. Anthony Simeonov was amazing with 12 points and 12 rebounds, Nick Diaz put up 11, and the Falcons out rebounded the Spartans 49-23. This weekend the Falcons take the road with another against the Valley Jaguars.
