BASEBALL

Crescenta Valley 8, Charter Oak 5: Freshman Troy Prasertsit hit a two-run home run and a double to lead the Falcons to a win on Saturday in the Glendora Tournament. Prasertsit was also named to the All-Tournament team.

Nate Rousey and Joe Sedano had multi-hit games, Sean Elliot got the win and Jake Lehne, who pitched five innings, allowing two runs and three hits, while striking out five, got a no-decision. He also had a go-ahead, two-run single in the seventh.

On Thursday night, Falcons pitcher Elliott Surrey went five-plus innings, giving up four hits and three runs, but Crescenta Valley lost to Ayala, 3-1.

St. Francis 6, Walnut 3: Trevor DeVore scattered five hits in a complete game win on Saturday at Walnut in the fifth-place game of the Arcadia Elks Tournament.

Scottie Morrow and Nick Gentili each had two hits for the Golden Knights (4-1).

San Marino 10, Hoover 3: Steven Monroe went two for three for the Tornadoes (3-2) with a two-run home run and TJ Lee was two for three in the Arcadia Elks Tournament on Saturday.

GIRLS’ TRACK AND FIELD

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 76, Alemany 50: Led by a trio of freshmen and senior captain Erin Hartwig, the Tologs won their Mission League home meet on Friday.

Freshman Stephanie Vargas turned in a school-record mark of 11 minutes 39.88 seconds to win the 3,200 meters and also anchored the winning leg of the 4x400 relay.

Freshman Drew Washington won the 400 in 1:03.25 and won the triple jump in 30 feet 5 3/4 inches. Fellow freshman Alexa Montgomery won the 100 in 13.1 and the 200 in 27.1.

Hartwig won both the 800 (2:34) and the 1,600 (5:45).

BOYS’ TRACK AND FIELD

St. Francis 74, Alemany 52: Luther Walker won three individual events and helped the Golden Knights win the 4x100-meter relay Friday in a Mission League home meet.

Walker recorded a personal-best mark of 11.15 to take the 100-meter dash. He also won the triple jump with a mark of 42 feet 4 61/27 inches and the long jump (19-3 61/27).

T.J. Tree won the 110 high hurdles with a personal-best mark of 16.25 for St. Francis, which got a winning time of 52.91 from Matt Laing in the 400. Max Ruppel won the 800 in 2:10.66 for the Golden Knights, who got winning performances from Michael Melnick in the 200 (24.41), Kyle Palazzolo in the 3,200 (10:34) and Rian Younker in the shot put (46-2).

GIRLS’ SWIMMING

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 60, Westridge 34: The Tologs improved to 2-0 in nonleague meets on Friday at home.

Alex Marquez won the 50- (26.38 seconds) and 100-yard (56.94) freestyle races and teamed with Tricia Dobson, Madeline Talt and Emily Carideo to win the 200-medley relay in 1:59.00.

Talt also won the 500 freestyle in 5:14.08 and Carideo was a winner in the 200 freestyle in 2:00.58.

Alhambra 100, Flintridge Prep 49: Rebel Celia Riley captured the 50 freestyle in 32.69 in a nonleague dual meet at Alhambra Park on Thursday.

BOYS’ SWIMMING

Alhambra 96, Flintridge Prep 68: Garrett Wax won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.91 seconds on Thursday for the visiting Rebels in a nonleague dual meet at Alhambra Park. Michael Geragos, Ryan Camastra, Sam Buck and Erik Bogaard worked together to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:57).

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Gabrielino 3, Flintridge Prep 0: Gavin Thomson finished with 15 kills for Prep in the Rebels’ 25-17, 25-23, 25-20 nonleague home loss to the Eagles (4-0) on Thursday.

Edmund Chow had seven kills for Prep (6-2) and setter Steve Morse recorded 32 assists.

Crescenta Valley 3, San Marino 2: The host Falcons (3-1) picked up a 22-25, 25-16, 25-22, 21-25, 15-13 nonleague victory Wednesday.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Ventura College 6, Glendale Community College 3: The Vaqueros doubles teams of Sarah Aguilar and Minelli Ebrahimi and Alex Tzvetanova and Veronica Sandoval each won a set Friday in a Western State Conference road match. Armine Balayan won the lone singles set, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5, for Glendale college (5-4, 3-4 in conference).
