“Three keys to more abundant living: caring about others, daring for others, sharing with others.”

— William Arthur Ward

?

Many members of the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Support Group shared with each other this past Sunday at our Day at the Races, held this past Sunday. We are all abundant in sharing and caring with others and some dared to place some wagers. And I heard some people had an abundant day in more ways than one. It was a successful day of friendship and giving back to the community, even if your horse did not win, place or show. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Support Group. Thanks to all of you who came out on this exciting day of horse racing with gourmet food and good friends. We especially want to thank our sponsors of this event: Bob Smith Toyota, Citizens Business Bank, CV Insurance, Gilmore Bank, Leo’s All Star Sports Bar, Vons Market, Kathy Armstrong of Silpada Jewelry, The La Cañada Flintridge Outlook, and Paul’s Professional. Without our sponsors, our events would never be as successful.

If you would like extra exposure for your business and want to help toward the success of an event that will benefit your community, think about being a sponsor for our Hometown Country Fair. The fair will be held April 24-25 and we are looking for a few good sponsors. Our All American sponsors will be put on all of our posters that will be distributed to local businesses, they will be on our website, they will be on all our newspaper advertising, they will be on all our flyers, they will get an ad in our chamber newsletter and receive our sincere appreciation (priceless!).

Call our office to find about this great opportunity to be a sponsor of our city’s official Hometown Country Fair.

And do not forget to send in your ‘smart’ team for our Smart-a-Thon, being held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 at Verdugo Hills Hospital, in the fourth floor council rooms. Get your application in soon so you can be part of the SMART crowd!

Also, join us on April 8 for our monthly mixer, this month sponsored by Pyramid Sleep Shop, the Desi Geestman Foundation and the Crescenta Valley Chamber, all located at 3131 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta.

Remember the three keys to more abundant living. Being a part of the Crescenta Valley Chamber can help you with these keys.

Important dates: March 25 — Smart-A-Thon luncheon; March 27 — Ribbon cutting; April 8 — CV Chamber networking mixer; April 24-25 — 4th Annual Hometown Country Fair.

Please call our office for more details about any event.
