A good year for the Crescenta Valley girls’ water polo saw its 18-10 season end in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division IV playoffs. The awards keep coming and four CV water polo players were named to the All-CIF Div. IV teams; five to the All-Pacific league.

Sophomore Kim Fraisse, the Falcons’ leading scorer, was selected to the All-CIF Division IV first team, while seniors Taylor Kuh and Olivia Trimis received second-team selections and junior goalkeeper Sofie Munoz was voted to the third team.

“They were great leaders this year, but I feel like we’re still gonna have an excellent team next year,” Fraisse told the News-Press of Trimis and Kuh. Fraisse led the Falcons all season with 78 goals, 14 more than any other teammate.

Trimis and Kuh were also named to the Pacific league first team while Fraisse received a second team nod along with Sofie Munoz.

Corrinne Ingalla received a Pacific league honorable mention.

Burbank and Crescenta Valley advanced the furthest of all the Pacific league teams, losing in the quarterfinals of the CIF playoffs. Burbank’s Carlos Pelayo was awarded Pacific league Coach of the Year and Burbank’s Alexandra O’Conner was named league MVP.
