AYSO Region 88 fall registration date set

The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Region 88 program, based in Glendale and La Crescenta, will conduct early registration for the fall season for children ages 4-18.

Registration will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 25 at Clark Magnet School, 4747 New York Ave., La Crescenta. Early bird registration fee for all divisions (through April 25) is $90 (includes uniform, pictures, trophy and a yearbook).

All players must be pre-registered prior to walk-up registration. No player will be registered at walk-up registration without the printed pre-registration forms.

Celebrity golf tourney to take place

The second annual National Kidney Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament will be held May 4 at Lakeside Golf Club, 4500 W. Lakeside Drive, Toluca Lake.

The tournament will feature George Lopez, Stewart Rahr, Samuel L. Jackson, Ray Romano, Joe Mantegna and others.

Boys and girls water polo players sought

A Santa Clarita Valley-based age group water polo club is seeking boys and girls between the ages of 11-13.

The club is run by Crescenta Valley High School girls’ Athletic Director Pete Loporchio.
