BOYS’ TENNIS

Crescenta Valley 10, Burbank 8: The Falcons (4-5 in Pacific League) evened up the season series with the Bulldogs, winning on Thursday.

Crescenta Valley won seven doubles sets, with Eric Khanlarian and Marcus Barbosa notching a sweep, as did DJ Min and Jason Cheung.

In singles, Chris Kim, Dro Mahmoudi and Justin Watkowski all won one set apiece.

Burroughs 10, Glendale 8: The Nitros (8-3, 5-3 in Pacific League) were able to win seven doubles sets, but just one in singles during Thursday’s loss.

Nick Daka and Mike Astorian swept, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0, while the doubles squad of Dongkoon Yoo and Bushra Abdelmalak also swept, 6-4, 6-4, 7-5.

Ashot Papikian won the Nitros’ lone singles set, 6-2.

Pasadena Poly 128, Flintridge Prep 41: Stephen Leech finished second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5 minutes 43.13 seconds, as the Rebels lost in a Prep League dual meet at Poly on Thursday.

Pasadena Poly 129, Flintridge Prep 54: Kristin Brisbois won the 100-yard butterfly in 1 minute 11.21 seconds in a Prep League dual-meet loss at Poly on Thursday.
