CV crushes rival Burbank

Though it wasn’t the epic battle between the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in CIF, Crescenta Valley made easy work of Burbank last Thursday, crushing the Bulldogs, 15-1.

The Falcons had five extra base hits, including three triples (Stephanie Ziemann, Erin Ashby and Nicole Salas). Ashby also hit a home run.

Kali Cancelosi was her usual self on the mound, pitching six innings and sitting down 20 of the 22 batters she faced. Burbank’s one run was unearned.

The Falcons played Glendale late last night, but too late to report.
