Sacred Heart beats Alemany

Share

In one of their biggest wins in team history, Flintridge Sacred Heart beat Alemany last Thursday, 4-3, to take a commanding lead in the Mission league.

Tolog Jessica Ferri put up a fantastic effort, both in hitting and pitching.

Ferri pitched all seven innings, ceding eight hits, but only one earned run.

On the offensive side, Ferri went 3-for-3 with a huge home run and three RBIs.

In the last four years, Alemany has absolutely dominated the Mission league and been league champs in all four years.

Alemany has never lost to Sacred Heart in softball before this game and has outscored the Tologs 45-7 in every game they’ve played since 2005—three of those games were mercy rules.

The Tologs (9-2, 2-0 in Mission league play) struggled in the game at times. Alemany limited the Tologs to only five hits.

On the defensive side, the Tologs put up four errors—hardly like them to do that.

However, the win has now placed FSHA into the CIF Div. III top 10, the first time they’ve ever been ranked that high.
