CIF swimming prelims site moved

The CIF Southern Section Division I swimming and diving prelims will be held at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut at noon today. The event was originally slated to be held at Belmont Plaza pool in Long Beach, but the facility has had some recent problems pertaining to the pool’s pump system, according to a release issued by the CIF office Tuesday.

Openings available for AYSO season

AYSO Region 88 fall season registration has been completed, but there are still some openings available.

Basketball camp set to take place

Crescenta Valley High boys’ basketball Coach Shawn Zargarian will conduct a basketball camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 20-24 at Crescenta Valley High’s gymnasium, 2900 Community Ave., La Crescenta.

The camp is geared for athletes 7-13.

The cost is $225 per person. Instruction, guest speakers, T-shirts, games and more will be featured.
