Mark Keppel Elementary School’s annual Rock Concert, put on by students, faculty and parents will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mark Keppel Elementary, 730 Glenwood Road, Glendale. Program registration for the summer aquatics program at Glendale, Hoover and Crescenta Valley high school pools will be from 8 to 10 a.m. at Glendale Civic Auditorium’s Lower Level, 1401 Verdugo Road, Glendale. Additional registration dates are from 5 to 7 p.m. June 15 to 17 at the Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane, Glendale. The program begins on June 29 and ends on Aug. 21. Cadette Girl Scout Troop #679 of Montrose is conducting a service project in an effort to earn their Girl Scout Silver Award by holding a Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 1600 block of Don Carlos Avenue, Montrose. There will be signs along the street. Their goal is to collect school uniforms for MEND, an organization that distributes food and clothing to the needy in San Fernando Valley. They will be collecting school uniform apparel such as white polo shirts and navy blue/khaki pants. Gently used or new uniforms would be appreciated. E-mail gstroop679@yahoo.com.
