Marijuana bust at bar

On June 4 at about 10 p.m. members of the Glendale Police Vice Unit entered Whisperz Bar in the 3600 block of Foothill Boulevard as undercover officers posing as customers.

According to Sgt. Tom Lorenz, the officers had walked into the patio area of the bar when Ray Jones, 35, of Sunland allegedly approached one of the undercover officers and asked him if he wanted some marijuana. The undercover officers informed him that they were Glendale police and placed Jones under arrest.

While officers were searching Jones in the process of their arrest, another man, Victor Vinson, 52, of La Crescenta who was not associated with Jones, approached them. He was within five feet of the undercover officers and asked them if they wanted some marijuana. He was also arrested.
